Sometimes, you need more than just weekly sessions

You are not where you thought you would be and wanted more out of your life
You struggle to manage difficult emotions,  and feel overwhelmed.
You try to escape and avoid them by focusing on other things but they keep coming back up and leaving you with ruminating thoughts, feeling anxious and unsure about the future. Past traumas have been difficult for you to face and no matter how much you try to move forward the intrusive thoughts and memories keep arising and its hard for you to feel safe.
You want something more and  to find more calm in your day. You find your anxiety and depression hold you back from reaching your goals and living  the life you imagined for yourself.

You’ve tried to figure this out on your own and realize its not working and you need more support

You have tried weekly therapy but realize the limitations and want something more

Traditional therapy has only given you some results and are interested in a more holistic and deeper approach to treatment

You don’t have to face this alone, we can partner together to discover a path to hope and healing tailored specifically for you.  Recovery is possible!  You can find the relief you are looking for and feel more in control of your emotions and your life.  An intensive is a chance to find healing in a shorter time period than the traditional once a week therapy model.  You can develop coping skills that can be accessed and utilized for lifelong use.

WHAT IS AN INTENSIVE?

Intensives offer an opportunity of transformation for clients to go deeper in an extended time period to cover more content and help overcome challenges like trauma, anxiety, depression and grief.  Path to Hope Counseling offers 3 hour time blocks for intensives to accelerate the healing process to do more therapeutic work in a shorter period of time instead of once a week therapy which can take a longer period of  time to see results. Clients can choose to do one 3 hour intensive, two of these time blocks or three  of them. Our holistic therapy intensives offer a comprehensive approach, integrating yoga, meditation, mindfulness, grounding techniques, breathwork, expressive arts and Brainspotting to help clients address these pain points and embark on a transformative healing journey.  These are offered in person or online.

HOW DOES AN INTENSIVE WORK?

For the 3 hour time period we are together, we can customize what you would like to include in your intensive.  I offer many healing modalities including: Mindfulness, Grounding, Breathwork, Trauma informed Yoga, Meditation, Expressive arts  and Brainspotting.  Each hour you do get a break and the focus of the intensive is based on what you are needing to work on.  Often these can be parts of your life where you feel “stuck” or maybe facing some underlying traumas that are holding you back.

  • 90 min Pre-Intensive Interview
  • Customized Intensive Workbook created with your individual needs in mind
  • 3 Days of Therapy (3 to 9 hours depending on which option you choose)
  • 90 min Post-Intensive Interview
  • Upgrades available for 1 hour Massage therapy or Reiki session by Partnering providers

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HOLISTIC THERAPY INTENSIVES

Therapy Intensives are perfect for people who are motivated and are ready to feel better now. If you’re ready to see things change in your life but you don’t want to wait for that to happen next year – a Therapy Intensive may be right for you. If you’ve tried traditional once a week therapy and are feeling stuck or not making the progress you thought you would, an intensive could be beneficial for you.

If you have a specific topic, trauma, or stressor that you want support with – this can be the focus of your Therapy Intensive. The dedicated time will be customized specifically to you and your goals.

Every client I see I provide treatment through a holistic lens and  consider the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—rather than focusing solely on symptoms or specific issues. This approach integrates various therapeutic techniques and practices to address emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of these aspects and seeks to promote overall health and balance.

Some holistic modalities I integrate into treatment:

Trauma informed yoga
Meditation
Mindfulness
Breathwork
Brainspotting
Expressive Arts

Due to the nature of typical 50 minute sessions, they only allow about 40 minutes of deep work.  Often there are at least 5-10 minutes of “check-in” at the start of the session and usually, 5-10 minutes spent on “closing up” or “checking out” at the end of a session – this doesn’t leave a lot of time for deeper work. Therapy Intensives are different and allow more focused time to go deeper and help you find relief sooner. . A 3-hour Therapy Intensive allows for 2.5 hours of depth work. That’s the equivalent of five 50-minute sessions or more than a month of therapy – in a single day!  Overall they are more efficient and effective than traditional once a week therapy.

Definitely! Therapy Intensives work very well as an adjunct therapy. If you can sign a Release of Information so that your current therapist and I can collaborate as a treatment team to best serve your needs.

Therapy Intensives are typically  not covered by insurance. However, you can contact your insurance company to see if they may reimburse a portion of the Therapy Intensive. It’s best to call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to learn the details about your specific plan.   Questions to ask:

Do I have a deductible for out-of-network services?
Have I met my deductible and if not how much do I owe?
What CPT billing codes do you reimburse (i.e. 90837 or two 90843 in one day)?
What is the rate of reimbursement for each billing code?
What is the allowable amount for reimbursement?

I can provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance company.  You are also more than welcome to use your HSA/FSA accounts for payment and full payment is expected for this service.

To reserve your Therapy Intensive I require a A 50% non-refundable deposit.  The remaining 50% is due on the first day of the Intensive Session.

Let’s schedule a time to chat! I’d be glad to  answer any questions and explore your concerns and individual needs to see if a Therapy Intensive may be helpful for you.  Email me at pathtohopecounseling@gmail.com
